Ok. Maybe if I write it down, then I have to do it....
This was my wedding cake entry last year in the 2007 Austin Cake Show. I placed 3rd in the adult intermediate division.
I have actually started my Wedding Cake entry for this year -- started. I just have not had the motivation to finish it. So there I said it, now maybe I can go do it.

I really do! I hate it! I remember why those first cakes back in Wilton 1 were so discouraging.
I was making a car smash cake for my nephew. I was planning on covering it in fondant, something really cute. My hubby reminded me that the point of a smash cake was to S-M-A-S-H it. I had to go with buttercream. After about the 100th star, I thought about just covering in smooth buttercream. I wanted to do the stars though. Each perfect, same size, stop squeezing before you lift... At 250, squueze, left, move on!!
For those of you that can get every little space covered in a perfect star, amazing. you must have hands of iron and some serious pateince.
Hopefully Jeremiah will tear into all these loopy lopsided stars and give me some great pictures!

Today our family had a goal -- find a good chocolate chip cookie. The first cookie was a little cakey. That's ok, we moved on to the second recipe.
Ummm -- YUMMY!!
The cookie was perfect!

OK. I know most of these spots on this blog go toward yummy treats BUT I had to make an exception -- it does still fall in line with the Valentine Theme.
This is my Honey, the one that is in the heart. Please meet Lena.
There was a contest to win Lena's Heart on
and Honey won!
